Rainy Season (June to October) – Expect heavy rainfall, especially in the south, with average temperatures between 25°C to 32°C.
Money Matters
- Currency: Thai Baht (THB)
- Credit and debit cards are accepted in hotels, restaurants, and shops in urban areas. However, it’s advisable to carry cash for small purchases, street markets, and rural areas.
Top Tip – Tipping isn’t mandatory in Thailand, but small tips for good service are appreciated.
Language
Official Language: Thai
English is widely spoken in tourist areas, hotels, and restaurants, but it can be limited in rural regions. Learning a few basic Thai phrases is always appreciated.
Connectivity and Wi-Fi

Car Rental
Renting a car with a driver is common for tourists, especially for day trips. Driving yourself is not recommended unless you have a local license, as traffic can be chaotic.
Food and Culture
Thailand is famous for its vibrant street food and rich culinary heritage. With influences from Chinese, Indian, and Southeast Asian traditions, Thai cuisine offers a perfect balance of sweet, sour, salty, and spicy flavours.
